Kilina Receives 2017 Meier Professorship

Svetlana Kilina, associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry was awarded the 2017 James A. Meier Junior Professorship. This award recognizes an associate or assistant professor who has contributed to excellence in teaching and research at NDSU. Demonstrated success interacting with students is a primary criterion for this award. Dr. Kilina has teaching and research interests in the area of computational chemistry and is working on modeling the interactions between organic and inorganic materials. Her research impacts in the areas of nanotechnology and the interface of materials and biology. She will carry the title, James A. Meier Junior Professor, for a three-year term (Fall semester 2017 through Spring semester 2020)
